Harrison Ford Needs to Stop Hurting Himself
We all remember when Harrison Ford broke his leg on the set of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Well, now the man has gone and crashed his plane.
Ford was flying his World War II era plane when, due to engine problems, he was forced to take it down on a golf course. He was taken to a hospital afterwards, but his injuries weren’t life threatening (although he’s broken his pelvis and ankle). We’re happy Harrison Ford is (mostly) fine, and we’d like to make a simple request of Mr. Ford:
Harrison Ford, please stop hurting yourself.
We like you Harrison Ford. We find you entertaining. We’re disappointed that Blade Runner 2 is happening, but we’d like to see you keep acting in other things. So please Harrison Ford, please… you’re 72. Be more careful, okay?
Okay.
I’m going to defend Harrison Ford here because I want you to know something. He is an expert at flying planes. This dude was the Chairmen that replaced Chuck Yaeger as chairman of the Young Eagles program that the Experimental Aircraft Association. The organization likes to attract high profiles in aviation to that position.
From what I understood the plane had engine failure, so this wasn’t so much a crash per say but a rough landing. He handled this like an expert pilot that he is. Yes the older you get the more risky this stuff gets but I really don’t see the big deal in this.
If he was being reckless then he’d be dead but he was flying recreationally and his plane had some issues.
I feel people are really blowing this out of proportion.
