It’s been a lot, from the firing/not firing of staff members, a lot about a logo, a volunteer staff on “strike,” and Melissa Phelps reportedly stepping down from the CESI board of directors — and it’s not even close to over yet.

The original logo and mascot come from the con’s slogan: “The cure for the wintertime blues”. the mascot has already been depicted in outfits themed with whatever that year’s theme is.
That feels like a really weird stretch to use a logo that could easily lead the public to think it’s medically related.
