‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ Live Action Movie Switches Studios, Remains Stupid Idea

So hey, remember how a live action Sonic the Hedgehog movie is in development? Yeah, me neither — but it’s apparently still a thing that is happening. After over a year and a half of Sony just sort of sitting on the project though, we finally have some more news about it. And that news is “it’s moving to Paramount.”

Yep, that’s it. That’s the entire story.

Neal H. Moritz and Tim Miller are producing the film, but right now the film doesn’t even have a writer let alone a script. That lack of a script is why it’s hard to say anything about this movie beyond “why are they making this,” “who the heck is this movie even for,” and “gotta go fast!” I mean, Sonic works great in animated form, but those joined eyes would just look super creepy interacting with the real world. Of course, the only Live Action Sonic I’ll ever accept is H.Bomberguy.
