Syfy to adapt “Childhood’s End” into a Miniseries
Syfy is, much to everyone’s actual surprised, pursuing more actual science fiction productions. Besides the upcoming Ghost Brigades series (based off of John Scalzi’s “Old Man’s War” series), Syfy has now optioned an adaptation of Arthur C. Clarke’s novel “Childhood’s End” into a miniseries.
The pilot of the six hour miniseries will be directed by Nick Hurran and written by Matthew Graham (who created “Life on Mars”). Mike De Luca and Akiva Goldsman will produce, and personally I’m excited.
Because, y’know, actual science fiction will be on Syfy.
And that’s pretty cool.
