Watch the Trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2

Look, we all know that trailers are designed to make a movie look as good as possible. There’s a formula to cranking them out, and the new trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 follows it to the letter. That said, I’m actually a little excited for this movie. Of course, I liked the imperfect 2014 reboot of the franchise, so that may have something to do with it.

From the trailer at least, it looks like the sequel is holding onto the good bits from the 2014 film (like the humor, the interactions between the turtles), and just ramping it up. Unfortunately, it also looks like we’re going to also get more exploitative shots of Megan Fox’s April – as they bothered to insert one into the friggin’ trailer this time around.

So yeah, I’m looking forward to a fun but occasionally problematic film… not really a surprise there.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 hits theaters June 3, 2016.
