‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ Script Coming in Book Form
When we learned the full details about Harry Potter and the Cursed Child last fall, most of us were pretty hyped. The two part stage play, set 19 years after the final book in the series, acts as the canonical sequel to the books series. There’s a bit of hitch though — because it’s a play (opening in London’s West End later this year), millions of Potter fans won’t actually get to see the next chapter in their favorite character’s lives.
Well, the good news is that the script is being put out as both a book and ebook for those of us who can’t see the show in person.
After the play premieres July 30th, the Rehearsal Edition will become available immediately, eventually to be followed (and replaced) by the “Definitive Collector’s Edition.” While it may not be the same as getting to actually watch the show yourself, it will at least provide a way for fans across the world to find out the fate of the boy who lived and his friends.
…and then I fully expect a movie version to follow as soon as Daniel Radcliffe gets old enough for it

Thanks for using the word “script” in your title and article. I have been seeing SO MANY people freaking out about a “new book”, when it is not…and Rowling herself has stated it is not a prequel, sequel, or epilogue to the series in any way and is very much a stand alone tale. I, as a person who likes to read scripts for fun because I’m too broke to go to the theater, am legitimately excited that this is being put out for us though.
